Maison Margiela wanted a small video to advertise their new ‘Coffee Break’ fragrance. I was brought on to do compose music and do the sound design. For the music, I wanted lush pads accompanied by short sustained sub bass notes to give that classic ‘Spa Music’ vibe. The sound design reflects the visuals in some experimental ways. I wanted to represent the fire and water that we see video and create a clear juxtaposition. The music flows between the two creating relaxed feeling.
